Best Stride Running is lead by Athletics Australia accredited run coach Brock Shirley. Brock has a background in running and running based sports, spanning over 15 years. With a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education and experience coaching accross multiple sports and skill levels, Brock has now turned his focus to a sport that has given him so much joy.

At Best Stride, we believe running is about more than just moving your feet, it’s about building a stronger, healthier you. Our coaching takes a whole-person approach because we know there’s more to every runner than just their physical abilities.

Our mission is to help you reach your full potential, both as a runner and beyond. We create personalised training plans that fit your unique strengths, challenges, and lifestyle. Along the way, we share tips on nutrition, injury prevention, and mental wellbeing. True success comes from a healthy body and mind.

Here’s how we can help:

1-1 Coaching: Get personal coaching from our head coach, Brock Shirley. This is our plagship program. A monthly subscription that includes a customised plan in Training Peaks, starting with a coaching call to set realistic goals that work with your life. You’ll have ongoing support through texts, calls, and emails. This service is great for anyone, from elite athletes to casual runners who want help creating a smart, effective plan.

Custom Training Plans: Have a specific event or goal in mind? We can custom design 8 to 16 week training blocks. It’s a one off fee with a fast turn around so that you can put your training on autopilot and see your whole schedule in one place.

Pre Made Training Plans: Whether you’re training for your first 5km or chasing a marathon personal best, our plans are designed to fit your needs. They’re easy to follow, adaptable, and free of confusing running jargon (we explain key terms when needed!). Strength and conditioning options are included to help you stay strong and injury-free.
